GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN!

Once you're over 12 you're expected to not do stuff like this  in public.  Too bad. I loved the joyous spontaneity of this little girl discovering the air in the grating! 

Bridget goes RENAISSANCE!

After my cooking failure I decided to get back to doing what I really love:  playing with Light! So I built a House of Cards and cut a window in  the side to simulate 17th century Dutch  type portrait lighting.  Here is my faithful stand in doll, Bridget doing her Vermeer thing.

Today was the first Sunday that I haven't worked so I thought I would do something normal like make banana chips.    The recipe in the magazine looked SO EASY ....I did it almost exactly like it said.

A SPECIAL TALENT I HAVE

Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On

There was a whole lotta shakin' going on at our recent shoot for Blue Canoe yoga clothing!

No one would go to the playground with me to test a new idea I had.....So it was just me and my faithful
doll Bridget.  I definitely got some weird looks.  Parents were keeping their kids away from me.

I just smiled and and shrugged and mouthed "homework"

Okay....I'll tell the world.   Its my fart machine that made them laugh.  Skip Hop...great company great people! 

THE FIRST BITE IS always THE BEST!

I shot this for a Public Service campaign....it was a tricky shot...getting a 5 year old to lie still long enough to get the picture!  We were as ready as we could be and then I had to play mind games and other games with her to distract her from the fact  that she couldn't move.  Its on billboards right now in the New York and LA metro area.

I was shooting 10 little babies lined up on the sofa and when I glanced behind me, I saw the real shot!

I love my job cause I get to play and be silly for hours on end!  

SWEET LIGHT

I'm  inspired by the Dutch painters (Vermeer)  and the use of a  single soft source coming from high up and to the side.  This was shot on my staircase.
